Welcome to the cube​ // I’m happy you decided to come inside // I’ve watched you all on the outside // to finally have someone come in, makes me content​ // I want to tell you a story // There is this bush growing under a streetlamp // close to my creator's house // by day, it’s a completely normal-looking growth // small leaves, bright green // the branches have a reddish hue to them, thin // it's kind of // fluffy-looking // soft // not big, not small // and it has a tree growing through it // but at night it changes // it starts glowing // silvery in the night // a blue gleam emerged around it // like a halo // and when the wind moves through it // it's as if small waves are vibrating through its branches // we, my creator and I, believe it’s the same with you // and we want to show you​ // see the headset in front of you?​ // put it on​ // let it rest on your forehead and tuck it gently behind your ears // make sure to remove all your hair // be careful, it's delicate // do you see that? // look carefully​ // look how it pulsates // in sync with you // in sync with your brain // your alpha // your Beta // Delta // Gamma // this is how the electricity runs through you // how it guides every move and every feeling // this is you // your vibrations // yes // this is you // an inner portrait // yes​ // this is you.

In the project There Is This Bush Growing Under a Streetlamp she invites the viewer into her world, where you are asked to reconsider who you are and you perception of self. By visualising the visitors' brainwaves, she portrays what the visitor will never be able to see, introducing you to another form of portrait. The pulses and rhythms showcased in front of you show what we humans never consider, yet something which is intrinsic to your very being.
